Oliver Andrews

Dancer

Oliver trained at Urdang Academy, graduating in 2020 with a BA (Hons) in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.

He made his professional theatre debut in the production of Message in a Bottle in 2021 and followed that with a number of commercial appearances including the Joy Awards in Riyadh, The Voice (ITV) and more recently the MTV EMA Awards in Dusseldorf.

Oliver also performed in the “Boyz” music video for Jesy Nelson and “If It’s Love” music video for Sting. He has toured internationally with Clean Bandit and danced for KSI at the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend and the Capital Summertime Ball during 2022.

A standout performance credit was being involved in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Party outside Buckingham Palace in June 2022 dancing for Duran Duran, Rod Stewart, Mabel and Sam Ryder.

Oliver is excited to be continuing the journey with the Message in a Bottle team and wants to thank everyone who has helped him professionally and personally along the way.

Melissa Bravo

Dancer

Melissa trained in musical theatre and dance at The BRIT School, Urdang Academy, and Bodywork Company Cambridge on a full scholarship. She has also trained and worked with hip hop companies Myself UK Dance and Elementz Ent.

Nafisah Baba

Dancer

Nafisah started dancing at the Pamela Howard School of Dance before later joining the West London School of Dance. She graduated from Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in 2015 and joined Chrysalis London where her love for contemporary dance grew. During this time, she also gained a BA Honours degree in Professional Practice at Middlesex University.

Nafisah won BBC Young Dancer in 2017 and since then, has gone on to work with various dance companies and renowned choreographers, as well as performing in the UK, Europe and Asia. She has performed with Ellie Goulding for her first virtual live-streamed performance, featured in the film adaptation of Everybody’s Talking about Jamie (choreographed by Kate Prince), and also features in Beyoncé’s film Black is King.

She  has since been freelancing, will feature in an upcoming Netflix series and Disney movie, and recently started working at Italia Conti as a Contemporary Dance Tutor.

She is thrilled to be returning to the stage and tour with Message In A Bottle

Lindon Barr

Resident Director & Dancer

Lindon Barr is a British Choreographer, Dance Artist and Lecturer based in London working across the UK and internationally. He started his journey at Bodywork Company, Cambridge studying a range of dance disciplines from Ballet to Hip Hop before travelling to studios in Los Angeles & New York to further his training and knowledge. Lindon works closely with the Olivier Award Winning ‘Boy Blue’ and ‘ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company’. He is also the Artistic Director of his own Award Winning Hip Hop Dance Company ‘Elementz Entertainment’.

Lindon’s performance credits are extensive and include London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, Jesus Christ Superstar (World Arena Tour), Thriller Live (West End), Some Like It Hip Hop (West End & UK Tour), Into The Hoods: Remixed (West End & UK Tour), Message In A Bottle (Original West End Cast), The Five (UK Tour), The Brit Awards, The X Factor, San Francisco Hip Hop Dance Fest, Russian Classical Ballet Theatre & EA Sports. He has also danced for Artists such as Take That, Mariah Carey, Little Mix, Rita Ora, Ally Brooke, Ed Sheeran & Coldplay. Lindon enjoys travelling and has had the privilege of performing throughout Europe, USA, Africa & Australia.

As a choreographer Lindon’s biggest credit to date was working on the new West End Musical – Exposure (St. James Theatre, Victoria). Lindon received a Broadway World Awards nomination for Best Choreography for his work on Exposure. He has also toured his work ‘Perception’ to Stockholm winning the Emerging Talent Award. Other choreographic credits include America’s Got Talent, Rock The Circus (German Tour), Norwegian Cruise Lines, Hewlett-Packard’s Discover London Conference, Samsung, Mercedes-Benz, Coca Cola, The London Fashion Festival, Vidal Sassoon & Love Box Music Festival. Lindon also worked with Maltese Artist, Brooke for her performance at the Bay Music Awards in Malta.

Deavion Brown

Dancer

Deavion Brown is a dancer who was born and raised in South Wales, where he first experienced hip hop dance and choreography. He first learned to dance at TDM stage school which provided him with opportunities to compete and perform as a young teenager. Later he went on to train in ballet, jazz and contemporary dance and graduated from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in 2019.

In the short time between his graduation and the first national lockdown, Deavion joined the closing cast of Thriller Live and played a featured role in the recent film adaptation of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie. He is incredibly excited and grateful to be returning to the stage for this production.

David Cottle

Dancer

Growing up playing drums in a family of musicians, David’s love for music began early and translated into dance when he started training at iDance age 12. He later went on to attend many dance camps around Europe and also travelled to Los Angeles multiple times to learn from some of the best.

David has trained in hip hop, popping, breaking, and has taught workshops with his own stylised choreography all around the world.

His credits include Ed Sheeran, Christine & The Queens, BTS, Emeli Sande, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Google, ENO, and more.

Harrison Dowzell

Dancer

Harrison trained at the Rollo Academy of Performing Arts and later at Performers College. At the age of 12 he played the title role in Billy Elliot at The Victoria Palace Theatre in the West End.

Since leaving college, Harrison joined Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures has played the roles of Romeo and Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet and Julian and Anton in The Red Shoes. In 2020 Harrison was awarded Dancer Of The Month in The Dancing Times Magazine and has also appeared in Matthew Bourne’s Spitfire as part of the BBC’s Dancing Nation and the British Ballet Charity Gala at the Royal Albert Hall. Since then he has appeared in Message In A Bottle (UK and European tour) Played the title role of Nutcracker and also a Gobstopper in Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker! Rocco in his version of The Car Man at the Albert Hall. Other credits include The Royal Variety Show, Sunday Night At The Palladium, various Pantomimes for QDOS Entertainment and most recently the MTV EMA awards dancing for David Guetta and Bebe Rexha and Gayle.

Harrison is thrilled to be a part of this spectacular production and to be performing and working alongside the most amazing cast and team. He dedicates his performances to his family, friends and teachers and thanks them for their endless support.

Onyemachi Ejimofor

Onyemachi Ejimofor studied Musical theatre at London Studio Centre, where in his third year he majored in contemporary dance with INTOTO dance company.

Nestor Garcia Gonzalez

Dancer

Nestor is a Mexican b-boy and dancer, working for the last 13 year for companies all around the world in shows including Michael Jackson Tribute and Urban Fantasy Show in Riviera Maya and Cancun Mexico. He has won multiple competitions in Mexico as a b-boy, was a finalist of the Dance Elite Championships UK  as a soloist, participated at  breaking convention Bristol and  has worked with different companies all around Europe including ZooNation and Tumbellina International in Germany, Scotland, London’s Royal Albert Hall, Spain, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and CPG concepts  Barcelona’s Olympic Stadium. Nestor has also featured in TV and film, including Strictly Come Dancing. Men In Black and Matilda by Netflix and judging a dance competition at audicityevens Nestor was also a lecturer at University Centre Weston.

Anna Holmström

Dancer

Anna Holmström was born and raised in the countryside of Sweden. Her interest for movement started with Rhythmic Gymnastics. She has won the Swedish Junior Championships and represented the National Team of Sweden in international competitions throughout Europe between 2002-2008. The curiosity for movement and choreography grew and Anna continued her studies in dance at the Royal Swedish Ballet School and Diambra Dance Education in Stockholm.

Since graduating in 2010, Anna has worked professionally as a dancer, acrobat and choreographer. She has performed as a soloist dancer in productions such as the world tour Flying Bach, together with the German b-boy crew Flying Steps, and in the musicals Pippin and Funny Girl, at the Malmö Opera House in Sweden. Anna is an original cast member of
Message In A Bottle.

In 2015 Anna moved to Berlin and founded Petricore Movement, a creative platform for her artistic works. Within the platform she creates dance performances, costume-designs and short films that touch upon the topics of mental health awareness and climate issues. Her debut choreographic work “Debris”, on the topic of plastic pollution in the worlds oceans, premiered in 2017 and has toured internationally throughout Sweden, UK, Germany, France and the US.

Megan Ingram

Dancer

Megan has trained in a number of diverse styles and is inspired by versatile dance artists within the realms of dance. Graduating from Bird College in 2018 and more recently training with Company Jinks and Marshon Dance Company, she is grateful to all the teachers who have influenced her. She is thrilled to be part of the Message In A Bottle company and performing alongside such an amazing cast. Ajani Johnson-Goffe

Dancer

Ajani Johnson-Goffe is a performer, choreographer and teacher based in London. Johnson-Goffe has a background in a number of styles including jazz, street dance, ballet, tap and contemporary dance. He teaches hip hop and choreography internationally. He is a graduate of Brit School for Performing Arts and London Contemporary Dance School.

As a performer, he has performed in productions including Riverdance’s Heartbeat Of Home (2015) Avant Garde Dance Company’s The Black Album (2016) ReImagined (2017) & Boy Blue Entertainments production REDD (2019). He has toured internationally with music artist’s FKA twigs & Years and Years & Performed at the Brit awards 2019 with Dua Lipa, Choreographic commissions for artists include Sharna Cane & Kyra

Johnson-Goffe’s choreographic commissions include Nomadic (2014) with Richard Alston Dance Company and Reimagined (2017) for Live Vibe. He also collaborated with Emma Portner to create work as part of Jacob’s Pillow Festival 2018.

Daniella May

Dancer

Originally from Leeds, Daniella gained her degree from The Northern School of Contemporary Dance and her postgraduate diploma from The London Contemporary Dance School.

She has toured nationally and internationally working across a broad range of dance, including contemporary, commercial, foundations in hip hop and African dance styles.

Daniella’s working credits include: Idris Elba’s and Kwame Kwei-Armah’s production ‘Tree’ at the Young Vic Theatre; West End production and international tour of Stomp. She can also be seen dancing on the BBC, Channel 4, Hulu, Netflix, and with other companies such as Southpaw Dance Company, Grounded Movement, Uchenna Dance, Tavaziva Dance, and many more across her 9 years of professional dance experience.

Daniella is an original cast member of Message in a Bottle and is very excited to be back performing and touring internationally with them again.

Lukas McFarlane

Associate Choreographer & Dancer

Lukas McFarlane is a Creative/Choreographer from Canada. His career was skyrocketed when he was crowned the UK and Ireland’s best dance act, winning Sky1’s hit TV show, ‘Got to Dance’ at just 19 years old. Even prior to this he had worked with such artists such as Carly Rae Jepsen, Taylor Swift and Celine Dion early on in his career. Lukas’s passion however, always lied in creation and he is now a well-known and widely respected Creative/Choreographer. He works consistently in tv and film on projects like ‘The X Factor’, ITV’s ‘The Voice’ and Netflix’s new show ‘Dance Monsters’, and most recently worked closely with actress Julia Garner on the new Paramount film “Apartment 7A” Lukas has also choreographed for Strictly Come Dancing, being the first to introduce Contemporary on the show in 16 seasons. He has worked with global brands such as GAP, LYNK&CO and UNIQLO and for international artists such as James Arthur, Pink, Vance Joy and Saara Aalto. He has worked on So You Think You Can Dance in 4 countries including the USA and is also well versed in creating live shows to audiences of more than 60 thousand at events like ‘British Summer Time Hyde Park’, ‘Eurovision Song Contest’, and The Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebration. Lukas has also created for The West End as associate choreographer on the Sadler’s Wells and Universal Group production ‘Message In A Bottle’ which he also starred in. He regularly shares his passion for teaching all over the world having taught in 5 of the 6 continents and is Founder and Creative Director of London based dance company UnTitled Dance Company who have performed their work to sold out audiences internationally.

Robbie Ordona

Dancer

Robbie is a mixed Filipino performer, choreographer and teacher from London who specialises in hip hop, commercial and contemporary dance styles. Robbie graduated from The BRIT School after four years in 2018 where he trained various styles from ballet to jazz and also found a new love for contemporary. Whilst attending, he was a part of Khronos Agoria, where he performed at some of London’s most renowned venues. Robbie continued his training at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) until 2019. Since then he has taught in various cities across England, Denmark and Czech Republic. Most recently, Robbie was commissioned by Rambert School to choreograph for their show The Next Generation.

Performance credits include Breathless Puppets By Akram Khan and Naanman Azhari, Ina-Ama by Jason Mabana, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (film adaptation), P!nk (The BRIT Awards), Used To Be Blonde by Sharon Eyal (NYDC) and various performances with Company Jinks.

Portia Oti

Dancer

From a young age, Portia established a passion for the arts and specifically dance. Her training has been with ZooNation and Boy Blue companies, and she have been fortunate to be part of many stage productions including ZooNation’s Groove on Down the Road and Some Like It Hip Hop. Portia has also had the pleasure of performing for Her Majesty the Queen at her Commonwealth celebrations and dancing as support for artists such as Stormzy and Jennifer Hudson. Her most recent achievements include roles in the films Farming and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

Kaycee Rice

Dancer

Kaycee Rice is an acclaimed dancer, choreographer, and actress who found success by the age of 10. Now at 20, and followed by millions across platforms, Kaycee continues to make her mark across the U.S. and internationally.

Throughout her professional dance career, Kaycee has been fortunate enough to perform on some of the world’s biggest stages, including the Super Bowl, the Academy Awards, and NBC’s World of Dance. She has performed alongside artists such as Missy Elliott, Justin Bieber, Meghan Trainor, Janet Jackson, and Olivia Rodrigo. Kaycee continues to develop her choreography — creating personal concept videos, and teaching classes across the globe.

Along with dance, Kaycee is an actress who played the lead in Disney’s short film “How To Catch A Ghost,” and starred in the Brat TV YouTube series “Sunnyside Up.”

Kaycee has a diverse portfolio of past partnerships — tech companies including AT&T and Dell, beauty brands YSL Beauty and Givenchy Beauty, and athletic lifestyle brands FILA and Nike. Most notably, Kaycee was the first kid dancer to be sponsored by Nike, designing her own sneaker at the age of 14.

Driven by self-love, individuality, and positivity, Kaycee launched WEIRDO apparel in 2018 to build community and empower her followers. Kaycee’s goal is to continue to inspire, encourage, and uplift others across all facets of her life.

Hannah Sandilands

Dancer

Born and raised in Scotland, Hannah has trained in a variety of styles over the years. She graduated from West College Scotland receiving her Diploma in Dance Artistry.

Working on Message In A Bottle has been a full circle moment for Hannah, as she has worked closely with Associate Choreographer Lukas McFarlane as her mentor for the past 7 years. She was very honoured to be a part of the original cast during the show’s first run in 2020, the remount in 2021 and the filming of the production in 2022. Hannah appeared as a dancer in the film adaptation Everybody’s Talking about Jamie: The Movie. She also featured on The greatest Dancer Season 1 as a member of Company Jinks.

Hannah also has been lucky enough to work on another two films and workshops that are currently under works just now for release in next few years.

Alexzandra Sarmiento

Dancer

Alexzandra trained at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in NYC, the State University of New York Purchase Conservatory of Dance, and is a 2011 USA National YoungArts Foundation Level I Winner in Modern Dance. She is extremely grateful to be part of the MIAB family.

As choreographer: 42 Balloons (Vaudeville Theatre); Brief Encounter (New Wolsey Theatre & UK Tour); But I’m A Cheerleader (Turbine Theatre). Projects in development include The Children’s Inquiry (LUNG Theatre) and ICON: The K-Pop Musical (Carter Dixon McGill).

Steven Thompson

Dancer

Steven has been dancing since the age of 6 years old, learning and enjoying many different styles of dance including tap, jazz and was accepted into the Royal Ballet School before he found his true passion, street dance, at 13 years old.

Steven started his professional career at the age of 19 when he booked ‘Thriller Live’ on an 18 month contract on the West End.

Throughout his career so far; Steven feels fortunate to have danced for several world class artists and worked on 3 feature films including a Netflix original film ‘Jingle Jangle’ and also on the original Netflix series ‘Dance 100’.

Some of his credits include working with: Google, Adidas, Universal, Emirates Airlines, X Factor, UEFA, MTV EMA’s, Brit Awards, Reebok, Radio 1 Teen Awards, The Voice, Netflix & many more.

Gavin Vincent

Dancer

Gavin is a multidisciplinary dance and movement artist, with more that 16 years professional experience across a wide range of performance environments.

With a strong background in competitive Breaking, he is a veteran crew member of The Soul Mavericks, achieving the titles of 5X UK national champions, 3X Central European champions for Battle of the Year International, as well as world championship finalists positions at the Notorious IBE, and the World Bboy Championship Finals.

Now combined with an expanded skill set in Shaolin martial arts, stage & screen combat, technical rigging and aerial wire work, he is an original returning cast member to Message In A Bottle.

His diverse credits include: Working with Wired Aerial Theatre in performative and technical roles for the Bregenz Festival Production of Rigoletto, and their newest work ME vs ME, for director Zhang Yimou’ concept theatre show Apologue 2047 (Beijing Opera House), as a guest artist on Netflix series The Crown and Bridgerton, Southpaw Dance Company, Stufish Entertainment Architects – Elekron (Studio City Macau), GQ magazine, The MOBO’s, Google, Avant Garde Dance, Sky 1’s got to dance finalist, and previous ZooNation works.

As a movement director and choreographer Gavin has created he own work, collaborating closely with Breakin’ Convention International, directed and created movement for Theatre Témoin, and worked on multiple commercial productions with companies such as EGG Films, and Cirque Bijou on large scale multifaceted productions.

Originally trained as a physiotherapist and now as a WDSF certified olympic Breaking judge, Gavin continues to promote, movement and dance as a teacher, coach and mentor, within the community, and with companies including the Royal Academy of Dance, and ZooNations Academy of Dance.

Kate Prince MBE

Director and Choreographer

Kate Prince is a director, writer and choreographer. She is also the Artistic Director of ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company which she founded in 2002. Kate is an Associate Artist at both The Old Vic and Sadler’s Wells, where ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company is also a Resident Company.

In 2005 Sadler’s Wells commissioned the company’s first full-length work, Into the Hoods, conceived and directed by Kate. The show’s premiere in 2006 met with widespread critical acclaim and Into the Hoods went on to become the first hip hop dance show to transfer to the West End in 2008, after two critically successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Kate’s further work with ZooNation includes the Olivier nominated Some Like It Hip Hop (The Peacock, 2011- 13, 2019 and two UK tours), Groove on Down the Road (Southbank Centre, 2013-14), ZooNation: Unplugged (Sadler’s Wells, 2013), The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party (Royal Opera House, Linbury Studio, 2014 and Roundhouse, 2016), Into the Hoods: Remixed (The Peacock, 2015-16 and UK tour), and SYLVIA (The Old Vic, 2018). The company created special performances for Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday celebrations and for the Laurence Olivier Awards in 2011, creating new choreography for West Side Story with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

For TV, Kate’s credits include work for Strictly Come Dancing, So You Think You Can Dance, The Royal Variety Show, Top of the Pops, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Take Away, CD:UK, Blue Peter, Strictly Dance Fever, Sport Relief, The Album Chart Show, Discomania and PopWorld.

Her film work includes choreography for Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, StreetDance 3D and The Holloway Laundrette, which she wrote & directed for BAFTA/Channel 4.

Other theatre work includes Everybody’s Talking About Jamie for Jonathan Butterell (Sheffield Crucible & West End, nominated for Olivier Award for Best Theatre Choreographer), Enda Walsh’s Ballyturk (National Theatre), Stephen Mear’s Shoes (Sadler’s Wells and The Peacock), I Can’t Sing: The X-Factor Musical (London Palladium) and A Mad World My Masters (Royal Shakespeare Company), both for Sean Foley.

With ZooNation she has also created choreography for sporting events, including the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Handover Ceremonies (2008), the Opening Ceremony of the Tour de France (2007) and the IOC opening ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics at the Royal Opera House.

In 2018, ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company became an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation and a registered charity, in recognition of its mission to inspire the next generation of theatregoers and theatremakers.

In 2020, Kate was the subject of the BBC Imagine Documentary series presented by Alan Yentob entitled Kate Prince: Every Move She Makes.

Kate has been nominated for five Olivier Awards, a South Bank Sky Arts Award, a WhatsOnStage Award and two Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards. Kate has an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Winchester and in 2019 Kate received an MBE for services to dance.

Most recently Kate has co-written, directed and choreographed SYLVIA, which opened at the Old Vic Theatre in September 2018. Set against the backdrop of the Suffragettes, it tells the story of the second Pankhurst daughter, and the price she paid for her political purpose.

Following the Grammy Award for their collaborative album, 44/876, rock icon Sting and Shaggy have joined forces again for Com Fly Wid Mi. The album, produced by Sting, features Shaggy singing the Sinatra songbook in a reggae style and has received a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album.

Amid the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, Sting decided to unearth his 1985 song, “Russians,” which was inspired by the Cold War and originally appeared on his debut solo album (The Dream of the Blue Turtles). “Russians (Guitar/Cello Version)” is now available on all digital platforms with net profits to benefit www.helpukraine.center– a volunteer storage center established by Ukrainian business owners where humanitarian and medical aid can be sent from all over the world – with funds being processed through the German charity foundation, Ernst Prost, People for Peace – Peace for People.

Last year, “Every Breath You Take” was added to Spotify’s ‘Billions Club,’ having amassed over 1 billion streams on the platform. Most recently, the correlating music video has surpassed 1 billion streams on YouTube.

Sting made a guest appearance as a fictionalized version of himself in the Hulu TV series ‘Only Murders in the Building‘ starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.

David McEwan

Sound Designer

David is a Music Producers Guild Award winner, sound designer, engineer, composer and music producer. A London-based Australian, his career spans 30 years with accomplishments across television, cinema, theatre, dance, and music production.

In 2011 David co-produced Plan B’s 4 x Platinum No 1 Album ‘The Defamation of Strickland Banks’. His most recent Sound Design and Soundscape mixing was featured on the 59 Productions ‘About Us’ projection spectacle that toured throughout the UK in 2022.

David’s latest producer album credits include 2022’s ‘Anomaly’ by Jasdeep Singh Degun, released on Peter Gabriel’s Realworld Records.

Lolita Chakrabarti OBE

Dramaturg

Lolita Chakrabarti OBE is an actress and an award-winning playwright. Her debut play Red Velvet opened at the Tricycle Theatre, London, before transferring to St Ann’s Warehouse in New York and then to London’s West End. It earned her the Evening Standard Charles Wintour Award for Most Promising Playwright 2012; The Critics’ Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright 2013; AWA for Arts and Culture 2013 and an Olivier Award nomination for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre 2012, as well as many other nominations. Red Velvet is now on the Drama syllabus for A level, is studied at universities in the UK and USA and there have been over twenty professional productions in the USA and beyond.

In 2019 Lolita adapted the Booker Prize winning novel Life of Pi for the stage, (Sheffield Theatres, Wyndham’s Theatre in London’s West End and Boston Dec 2022), which will open on Broadway in 2023 and for which she won the award for Best New Play at the Olivier Awards 2022, UK Theatre Awards 2019 and WhatsonStage Awards 2019. Lolita is also adapting the winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award in 2020 and best-selling novel, Hamnet for the Royal Shakespeare Company, which will reopen at Swan Theatre in April 2023 and is dramaturg on the forthcoming production of Sylvia at The Old Vic.

Rose Montgomery

Rose Montgomery is a set, costume and props designer from Australia with a background in architectural and cultural studies. She works across theatre, opera, dance, film, television, music videos, advertising and events. In 2021 she was awarded The Loudon Sainthill Memorial Scholarship for Australian production designers. Also in 2021 Rose was selected as a creative in the ABC’s Top 5 Arts media residency program. Rose was a finalist in the 2020/2021 JMK British Theatre Awards, with director Katherine Nesbitt for their proposal for Alice Birch’s ‘Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again’.  In 2018 she was selected by the Sydney Opera House to represent Australia for the Multidisciplinary Australian-Danish Exchange (MADE) program in Spain and Denmark.

Lukas McFarlane

Associate Choreographer

Lukas McFarlane is a Creative/Choreographer from Canada. His career was skyrocketed when he was crowned the UK and Ireland’s best dance act, winning Sky1’s hit TV show, ‘Got to Dance’ at just 19 years old. Even prior to this he had worked with such artists such as Carly Rae Jepson, Taylor Swift and Celine Dion early on in his career. Lukas’s passion however, always lied in creation and he is now a well-known and widely respected Creative/Choreographer. He works consistently in tv and film on projects like ‘The X Factor’, ITV’s ‘The Voice’ and Netflix’s new show ‘Dance Monsters’, and most recently worked closely with actress Julia Garner on the new Paramount film “Apartment 7A” Lukas has also choreographed for Strictly Come Dancing, being the first to introduce Contemporary on the show in 16 seasons. He has worked with global brands such as GAP, LYNK&CO and UNIQLO and for international artists such as James Arthur, Pink, Vance Joy and Saara Aalto. He has worked on So You Think You Can Dance in 4 countries including the USA and is also well versed in creating live shows to audiences of more than 60 thousand at events like ‘British Summer Time Hyde Park’, ‘Eurovision Song Contest’, and The Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebration. Lukas has also created for The West End as associate choreographer on the Sadler’s Wells and Universal Group production ‘Message In A Bottle’ which he also starred in. He regularly shares his passion for teaching all over the world having taught in 5 of the 6 continents and is Founder and Creative Director of London based dance company UnTitled Dance Company who have performed their work to sold out audiences internationally.

Tommy Franzen

Assistant Choreographer

Tommy trained in Sweden and at Urdang Academy in London. He won a Critics’ Circle National Dance Award for his roles in ZooNation’s Some Like It Hip Hop and Russell Maliphant’s The Rodin Project. Tommy’s nominations include a South Bank Sky Arts Breakthrough Award and an Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance. Tommy was runner up on the BBC’s So You Think You Can Dance and appeared in films Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Mamma Mia!, Mamma Mia 2 – Here We Go Again, Aladdin, Cats, Tomorrow Morning and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, for which he also assisted Kate Prince. Tommy’s choreography credits include Strictly Come Dancing 2018-2022, Blaze, and Cher Lloyd’s music video Swagger Jagger. Tommy’s theatre credits include Boy Blue Entertainment’s The Five And The Prophecy of Prana, Goldberg (Royal Opera House) and Blaze (The Peacock). Work for ZooNation includes Some Like It Hip Hop, Message In a Bottle and The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party (choreography and performance).

Lizzie Gough

Lizzie is very grateful to be reunited with the cast of Message In A Bottle 2023 as well as fulfilling the role of Resident Director/Choreographer.

Lizzie appeared on the first UK season as a finalist on BBC’s So You Think You Can Dance in 2010. She has been working on her fifth season as a choreographer on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and was one of the first choreographers to introduce Street Dance as part of Couples choice in 2018, as well as a mentor and choreographer on ITV, RTL, STV Dance Dance Dance. In between projects Lizzie has created choreography / movement direction for commercials such as Just Eat, Farm Heroes, Virgin Mobile, Samsung, Vodaphone to name a few. Lizzie was a judge on 3 seasons of CBBC’s Alesha’s Street Dance Stars and a presenter on How to Be Epic, Ten Pieces and BBC Learning. Lizzie is one of the creators and examiners for UDO Street Dance Syllabus associations across the UK, and a trustee of their charity UDOIT Dance Foundation.

As a performer she has worked on TV shows such as BBC The Voice, Eurovision Song Contest, Brits Awards, ITV The XFactor, and part of various artist European tours such as Take That Circus and III, Zara Larsson as well as Dance Captain for 2012 London Closing Olympics
